A box of 8 notes printed on fine Ivory card stock, envelopes and matching seals featuring the Icelandic Sheepdog. The Icelandic Sheepdog is the only dog breed indigenous to Iceland. It developed from dogs brought to Iceland by Viking settlers in the ninth century. Its traditional uses include herding of sheep, cattle and horses. Icelandics were brought to the United States in the 1950s, following concerns about potential extinction, and today, these small-to-mid-sized working dogs make loyal, loving family pets.
