The Carolina Dog, sometimes called the American dingo, is a medium-sized dog occasionally still found feral in the Southeastern United States. They are believed to be descended from the canines that accompanied the Paleo-Indians who traveled from Asia to North America over the Bering land bridge. Carolina Dogs are generally shy and suspicious in nature, but once they accept a human into their pack, they can make fine companions.
